Fun Facts
In my daily life, I enjoy skateboarding, volunteering, writing poems, investing in stocks, and playing with puppies. My guilty pleasure is watching Detective Conan, a mystery anime, and trying to solve the cases.
About Me
I’m currently a freshman at Stanford University. Last summer (2019), I researched at the University of New Mexico to gain more knowledge in nanotechnology and materials science. After attending the U.S. Naval Academy (summer 2018) and researching with the U.S. Army’s REAP Program (summer 2019), I developed a stronger passion for learning about advanced technology and applying it to make life more efficient.
Experience
As part of Mu Alpha Theta, I mentored high school students on geometry, algebra, calculus bi-weekly. I also volunteered at Sundown Elementary School and tutored children from grades 1-5 in homework. Upon entering college, I would love to continue empowering students through Frog Tutoring.
Approach
As an immigrant, I struggled with English and elementary school. I found learning to be incredibly demoralizing. With the support of my sister and teachers, I was able to catch up among my peers through persistence and patience. I love learning and writing English short stories now. As a tutor, I hope to encourage others to enjoy learning and be successful in their classes.
