About Me

My name is Seham Helmi. I am currently 25 years old and I graduated from Brooklyn college with a chemistry degree. I decided to major in chemistry because it’s mixture of math and science, which are two subjects I’m really passionate.

Approach

As a child, I struggled memorizing things and found memorizing to be extremely boring. My dad who was a math teacher helped me realize that I could find subjects interesting by actually learning. While he tutored me, he taught me that the best approach to learning complex ideas is to understand, rather than memorize. Breaking things down and explaining things to myself has really made complex topics easier to understand. As a tutor, I do the same thing!
