Fun Facts
During my free time, I love to explore every nook and cranny of New York City. Some of my favorite places in the city include Chelsea Piers, Coney Island, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and the Cloisters. I've once walked 9 miles down the entire southern side of Manhattan, across the Brooklyn Bridge, and around Brooklyn Heights. That was an exciting day.
About Me
I am currently a rising sophomore at the NYU Stern School of Business. I am majoring in Finance and Global Business and planning to pursue a minor in Social Entrepreneurship as well. My career goal is to become a management consultant and visit new locales around America and the world! I am originally from Connecticut and attended a private boarding school in southern Pennsylvania.
I tutored at the local elementary school, Mercersburg Elementary School, near my boarding school. I worked in a fifth grade class and would assist the students with their multiplication tables, reading abilities, and spelling. During my Freshman and Sophomore summers, I also worked at Huaxia Chinese School in Connecticut as a teacher's assistant. I would work with students one-on-one to improve their pronunciation, vocabulary, and dictation skills.
I have always believed that the most engaging and interactive learning experience is the most effective. Rather than sit the student down and lecture them, I would rather give them hands-on experiences and try to apply lessons learned to real-life experiences. I also encourage students to always ask questions when they are confused. One small confusion can compound into total misunderstanding of the subject if it is not dealt with at the start.
