Fun Facts

I grew up with my twin sister and younger brother in San Francisco. I now live in Chicago and love how flat and easy it is to walk around here! I enjoy being outdoors, preferably at a beach or going on a long walk/hike. I also like watching sports, particularly football, especially when chips and guac or chicken wings are available!

About Me

I graduated in 2020 from the University of California, Berkeley. I graduated with a bachelor of arts in Psychology and a minor in Education with a GPA of 3.9. I am currently working as a research assistant for Dr. Levine's cognitive development lab at the chicago">University of Chicago.

Experience

I have many years of experience working in education. I volunteered as a tutor and in classrooms throughout high school and college, with programs such as Marina Middle School's education/illinois/chicago">special education summer program, Oakland Asian Student Educational Services, and Berkeley Scholars to Cal, to name a few. I am passionate about supporting students of all ages by working with them to meet their goals.

Approach

As someone with experience working in all types of classrooms with students of all ages and abilities, I recognize how different each student is. I always make sure to treat students with respect and support their mental health and wellbeing. I strive to work with students to help them understand the content through individual methods that work best for them. It can take some creativity and hard work, but I ultimately want to make learning as fun and useful to real life as possible!
