Fun Facts
I love to read, write, watch Netflix, and hang out with friends in my free time! I have been training in Ballet since I was 9 and am always looking to learn new dance forms, believing them to be beautiful representations of culture and ethnicity. I also enjoy singing karaoke even though I am terrible at it!
About Me
I am a master's neuroscience student at Georgia State University. I am part of the honors society and made the dean's list! I want to pursue the clinical neuropsychology PHD program after I graduate from GSU. My ultimate goal is to work with kids with ADHD, ASD, and other neurodevelopment disorders and be able to make a difference through psychotherapeutic techniques and neuropsychology.
Experience
As a psych major, I had the opportunity to intern with organizations that study behavior and learning. By teaching kids from diverse backgrounds and some with psychological diagnoses, I learnt to implement behavior analysis and precision teaching, helping them reach their academic and learning goals.
I worked as an academic tutor at my university, helping students with their essays, writing skills, psych classes, and math homework amongst others.
Approach
"There are no bad students, just inflexible teachers"
I think that every person learns differently and should be taught accordingly. I believe that students with ASD, ADHD, and other psych disorders should get a fair chance at opportunities, education, and learning- something that the field of psychology and behavior analysis helps me do.
As a woman of color and ethnic minority, I believe in bringing diversity and representation to the field of education and learning.
