Fun Facts

I have a B.S. in Mathematics, a Masters in Math Education, a Masters Level Certificate in Gifted, and have Illinois Certification for teaching math 6-12. I completed a Masters and Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I also have National Board of Professional Teacher Certification. I have four years experience teaching math at the college level and 20 years experience teaching at elementary through high school level. I have been teaching and tutoring for 25 years.

About Me

I have been teaching and tutoring math for 15 years. I have taught math classes including elementary, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus, Multivariate and Advanced Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra. I have tutored and taught SAT, ACT, GRE, GED math preparation.

Experience

I have taught education/illinois/chicago">special education for the past 9 years including elementary and high school in all subject areas. I have worked extensively with students with autism, ADHD, ED, LD, and multiple learning difficulties.

Approach

I believe that all students can learn, and that it is the responsibility of the teacher to present the material in a manner which will optimize student learning. I analyze the student's learning style, ability, interests, and talents in order to individualize instruction to best fit each student's needs. I take full advantage of lesson time.
