Fun Facts

A fun fact about me is that I eat a plant based diet! I went vegetarian after taking environmental science in high school then went fully plant based over quarantine back in March 2020. It's been really fun experimenting and cooking plant based meals. I also love to travel! I am from Chicago and TCU is the closest school to home that I looked at. I'm always excited by a new adventure and love meeting new people. I spend most my summers on the lake surfing, hiking, and spending time with family.

About Me

I am an incoming sophomore at Texas Christian University. My major is Psychology with a double minor in Child Development and Cultural Awareness in Healthcare, but am considering swapping or adding Spanish as well! I made the Deans List my freshman year. After TCU, I plan to attend graduate school on the west coast to pursue a degree in Neuropsychology with a specialty in adolescence.

Experience

I have nannied the past six years and with that have had experience assisting families with academic support. I a am very active in my church Sunday school program where I teach lessons to children ages 5-10 that help them grow in their faith and foster their relationship with god. I am also in the club Dream Outside the Box which provides elementary students in the Fort Worth area exposure to possible careers and higher education.

Approach

Frog Tutoring is a great opportunity to get more exposure working with kids and I truly believe I'll learn just as much from them as they will from me! As a tutor I am aware I have the responsibility to be a role model for these kids and provide them with all the academic aid and support I can, but it is also important to me to foster a relationship with the students and create a safe place for learning, pushing themselves, and having fun!
