Fun Facts

I am a wife and mother of 3. I love to go camping and the lake in the summer. I am the oldest of 3. I love to ride motorcycles and travel to new places when I have the chance. My favorite place to go is Lake Tahoe. The water is so clear and beautiful.

About Me

I am 35 years old and I have my substitute teaching license. I work for the Washoe County School District for the last 4 years as a Teachers Assistant in education/nevada/reno">Special Education. I am currently in college to obtain my Bachelors Degree in Education and education/nevada/reno">Special Education. My ultimate goal is to become a department lead for the school I currently work for.

Experience

I have had the opportunity to help students learn all subjects. English and Social Studies being the most. I followed middle school students from their 6th grade year up until they leave 8th grade. I worked in Pre K and and 3rd Grade my first year in the district. I managed students on the spectrum and collected data for behaviors. I am excited about the opportunity to tutor online and help students be successful in their studies.

Approach

As a child, I struggled with math. In 3rd grade, I had a wonderful teacher that motivated me to want to become a teacher. As a tutor, I am determined to help my students understand the material and help them be successful in understanding the concepts. I love to see a student work hard and do their very best. I believe that study skills are a big part of learning.
