People usually refer to me as having a creative soul. I try to pick up hobbies whenever life permits! Right now, my hobbies consist of photography and sewing. I am always looking for hands-on work, where I can exercise my creativity.

About Me

I am a senior at the chicago">University of Illinois at Chicago. I major in Teaching of Mathematics and am working towards receiving a middle school endorsement in Mathematics with a Major GPA of 3.61. After graduation I plan to continue my education in Administrative work in middle or high schools.

Experience

I worked with Right as School, and after-school program for a year. We went through a curriculum that tackled life skills as well the basics of education (reading, writing, math, physical activity, and some science). I currently work as a math tutor for a few hours a week. I teach a range of ages, from 1st grade all the way up to some high school students. I am looking to expand my experience over the summer.

Approach

I struggled as a student when I fist moved to the States. I always worked hard in school and nothing ever came easy. I want to be able to help students, like myself, that struggle in school but don't give up. I want to be a role model yet a person students can p trust in. I like to become friends with students and develop a healthy student-teacher relationship, encouraging student while creating an intrinsic motivation to learn.
