Fun Facts
Hi! I am Dhruva Chhabra, and I enjoy running, hiking, as well as yoga/meditation. I love nature, and I spend a lot of time in the park, either studying or exercising. I also like traveling to new places. I have visited Canada, the Caribbean, Norway, and South Asia, along with many U.S. states. Next on my bucket list is seeing Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. Although it's not a popular opinion, my favorite season is winter. I look forward to meeting and helping you with the subjects.
About Me
I am a Chemistry Major at Brooklyn College, with dual minors in psychology and biology. I am also a member of the Macaulay Honors College, a special program for academically qualified students. Furthermore, I have been awarded the Dean's List for every semester of my attendance at BC. I am entering my senior year of university this fall and anticipating graduate studies in medicine.
Experience
My interest in tutoring started in high school, where I taught basic math and english to elementary schoolers at the Ridgewood Public Library. In college, I volunteered at the Learning Center at Boylan Hall, teaching General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and both of their laboratory components. I am very passionate about the material and look forward to sharing my interests with my students. Whenever I teach others, I relive those same moments of insight that I had experienced when reading.
Approach
Sometimes, concepts in the physical sciences (i.e. math, physics, chemistry) can seem abstract, and thus, uninteresting to some students. My tutoring approach is multidisciplinary, teaching core concepts as applied phenomenon rather than theoretical principles. When tutoring, I practice a very methodical approach, consolidating information into easy hierarchies that students can easily understand. Still, I try making the session as interactive as possible and promote discussion/asking questions.

Chemistry
Biochemistry Tutoring
I am a Chemistry Major and have taken this course very recently (Spring 2021) with a B+ final grade. I have never tutored Biochemistry, but I am a member of Macaulay Honors College. My overall GPA is 3.848 with a chemistry-specific GPA of 3.614.
Biology I Tutoring
I received an A in my Biology I course. I have never tutored Biology I, but I am a Biology Minor. I have taken higher level biology courses such as Microbiology, Research, Behavioral Neuroendocrinology, and Biochemistry.
Biology II Tutoring
I received an A+ in my Biology II course. I have never tutored Biology II, but I am a Biology Minor. I have taken higher level biology courses such as Microbiology, Research, Behavioral Neuroendocrinology, and Biochemistry.
Chemistry Advance Tutoring
I am a Chemistry Major at Brooklyn College. I have tutored Chemistry for two semesters (i.e. General Chemistry I and Organic Chemistry II). I took General Chemistry I in high school and scored an A-A+. In college, I have received an A+ in Organic Chemistry II.

Elementary Statistics Tutoring
I have taken AP Statistics in High School and scored 5 on the AP exam. I have also taken statistics in college, scoring an A+ in the class.
Microbiology Tutoring
I have recently taken Microbiology this spring semester (Spring 2021) and scored A+ as my final grade. I am a minor in Biology. Although I haven't tutored Biology before, I am very comfortable with the material.
Psychology Tutoring
I took Psychology in high school, receiving a 5 on the AP exam. Furthermore, I am a Psychology Minor at Brooklyn College with a perfect 4.00 Psych GPA. I have also studied psych extensively for the MCAT. I have taken 5 Psych classes at Brooklyn College scoring: A+, A+, A+, A+, and A.
