Fun Facts
Aside from being an accounting and math nerd, I have a creative side - photography! I do photography on the side, such as for weddings, engagements and gradation portraits, so I also like to mess around with different photo editing applications. I am the oldest and only girl to two younger brothers and have lived in 5 different states - California, Washington, New Jersey, Arizona, and Texas! I enjoy hanging out with my friends during my free time and playing with my two French bulldogs.
About Me
I am a graduate from Texas Christian University. I graduated there in 2017 with my bachelor's in accounting. While I was there I tutored different students on campus, particularly in accounting. I also was part of the Neeley Leadership Program and graduated with a minor in leadership. I went on to obtain my MBA from Texas Women's University and I currently work in the professional accounting field.
Experience
While attending TCU I had the opportunity to tutors students throughout the week. This not only helped them do better on their exams, but also helped me remember what I was currently learning at the time and was overall a very rewarding experience for me. I have had jobs with companies such as American Airlines and Mercedes-Benz, so my experience would give me the opportunity to impact the lives of students in need of help with their classes!
Approach
To me, it's important to teach the content, but to also help the student develop study skills that will help them retain the information and use it in their daily life. Sometimes not knowing the "why" and how a certain topic applies to life is what can stop a student from feeling motivated. My goal is to help the student utilize various tools that will develop their study skills and become more comfortable with the topics they are learning, as well as offer career and interview guidance.
