Fun Facts
Aside from science and engineering, music is my passion. I love writing songs, recording/producing music, performing with my band, and playing different instruments. I really enjoy being creative and collaborating with all types of artists from videographers to graphic designers. Other ways I really enjoy spending my time are running and snowboarding.
About Me
I graduated from the maryland">University of Maryland in May 2021 with a degree in bioengineering on the biomechanics and biomaterials track. My focus was mainly on tissue engineering, stem cell engineering, and biomaterials. I also have a keen interest in bioastronautics. Currently, I am taking a gap year to explore my many different interests before embarking on my career.
Experience
In my junior and senior years of high school I taught a class to freshman about peer influence, health, dealing with loss, etc. This class was about eight 40 minute classes per semester. Additionally, I tutored a wide range of subjects my last two years of high school as a member of the National Honor Society. I have great study habits; one of which is to teach the material I am learning to my peers.
Approach
Throughout my academic career I developed a great approach to studying different subjects that really helped me understand the material as well as what the professors wanted me to focus on. As a tutor my goal is to not only help students understand the material they are learning, but also how to help them develop the skills they need to continue their academic successes.
