Fun Facts

I love to travel, I have been to six continents and about 40 countries. It is so amazing to learn about different cultures. Some of my favorite spots are New Zealand, Spain, Ecuador and Costa Rica.

About Me

I am originally from New York, but have been living in Florida for about six years. I have a bachelors degree in Art History with a minor in Business Administration. I graduated Cum Laude in 3.5 years. I am a certified teacher in Florida with a focus on K-6 education.

Experience

When I moved to Florida I pursued teaching as a career. I started with substitute teaching and from there I became a certified teacher. I currently have an active teaching certificate with a focus on Elementary Education K-6. I have taught two years of third grade and one year of Kindergarten. I have also tutored all ages from Elementary to High School.

Approach

My approach is different with each student. I assess their strengths and weaknesses as well as their learning styles. No two students are the same and I focus my approach around their individual learning style and the best way that student will learn. As an example some students might learn better with visuals, while another might perform better doing a hands on activity. I never want my students to be frustrated, so I make sure the assignments are something they will be able to do with success.
