Fun Facts

I am a fun-loving, creative, and very curious individual so I love trying new things. I have so many hobbies that it is difficult to list them all. I love reading, especially fanfiction. I also enjoy science fiction, fantasy, romance, or instructional books that teaches me things from robot building and computer programmming to learning latin.

About Me

I am a senior at Drexel University, majoring in chemistry and minoring in communications. I have a 3.71 GPA and have been on the Dean's list since my freshman year here. I am a science nerd and love to learn as much as I can about science and the world around me. I also happen to like reading and have read many books throughout my elementary school years. This is why I am so passionate about teaching because I want to infect others with my love of learning. After I graduate, I plan on going to pharmacy school to get a PharmD and eventually work in the pharmaceutical industry while working part-time in retail. I have worked at Johnson & Johnson and met many PharmD graduates so I know that a future there is possible for me. I hope to apply my skills and knowledge to help make the world a better place and improve as many lives as possible whether through teaching and encouragement or through the medical field.

During high school, I tutored struggling elementary school students every week as a part of YWCA. I have always had excellent grades and so many students, including family and friends in elementary, middle, high school, and college, have always asked me for advice and tips when it comes to anything academic related that troubled them. Since I have a big family with many younger cousins living in the same area, I was able to obtain extensive philadelphia">tutoring experience at many different levels across a variety of subjects. I enjoy seeing the look on my students' faces when they finally understand a concept. I have always find it extremely helpful to truly understand something as opposed to merely memorizing the answers. When you truly understand and know the concepts and theories inside and out, that is when you can apply it to any situation whether academic or real-life. To me, learning is more than just knowing things.
