Fun Facts

I love to go for a run and stay healthy. I was in crosscountry in middle and high school for a total of 7 years. I also love to go hiking and just, generally, enjoying the outdoors. I love to travel and have been to quite a bit of places around the world, thanks in part to summer programs while in high school. Ultimate dream vacation would be to spend a month in Japan.

About Me

I am currently a senior at the University of Arizona majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. I have been at the U of A for three years now after transferring from the Florida Institue of Technology where I spent my freshman year majoring in Aerospace Engineering. I am from Tucson and attended San Miguel High School where I graduated Valedictorian.

I tutored in high school while in a program called Tutorlink. I essentially tutored fellow classmates in some of the same classes I was in, while also tucson">tutoring other students in lower level classes. tucson">Tutoring sessions would usually take place during lunch or sometimes after school. The need for most of the students was usually in the math classes.

When it comes to tucson">tutoring, I try to find where the strengths and weaknesses are for the student. I try to concentrate on the weaknesses that would somehow bring together the strengths by walking the student through new ways of thinking about an idea and utilizing varied levels of examples. I bring to everyone the idea that anyone can do anything as long as the determination and work is there, and a little encouragment from those around you.
