About Me
In May 2013, I graduated from California State University Monterey Bay with a BA in Liberal Studies. After graduation, I attended California State University Sacramento where I just recently received my multiple subject teaching credential During my student teaching experience, I had the opportunity to teach in a kindergarten classroom as well as a 5th grade classroom. Both teaching experiences were incredibly rewarding and gave me great insight into the wonderful world of teaching. My ultimate dream is to have a classroom of my own, but after having graduated from a highly accelerated program, I am now taking the opportunity to gain familiarity with different school districts and grade levels by substitute teaching. For the 2014 -2015 school year I will be subbing in several different school districts in the Sacramento area.
As my first sacramento">tutoring experience, I served as a reading and after-school volunteer sacramento">tutor at Rocklin Elementary. Later, when I moved to Monterey, I worked for 3 years at The Reading Center, a K-12 sacramento">tutoring center specifically designed for students struggling in reading. Our focus was on teaching skills related to fluency, prosody, and reading-comprehension/california/sacramento">reading comprehension. I also volunteered for a program called Monterey County Reads, where I read one on one with struggling readers in various elementary schools in Monterey County. Furthermore, while most of my teaching experiences inside the classroom have been planned and implemented in a whole-class context I also had the opportunity to worked one on one with students on specific math skills taught during instruction.

This gives you insight into the students particular needs and is essential for the foundation of a productive sacramento">tutoring experience. In addition to appropriate assessment, it is also
