Every person has a different background and thinks in a different way. I believe it's important to understand your students and to let them communicate with you before you begin to help them. It would be easy to take a bossy or domineering approach and simply tell your students how to do something, but that is not an effective method. I believe in getting your students to think for themselves, to ask the right questions, and to direct their own minds toward solutions. I think it's crucial to guide your students gently, and to provide them with certain strategies or perspectives. However, this can be done through asking a lot of questions, and letting students participate in the brainstorming or analytical processes.
