Fun Facts

I've had the opportunity to live in three different countries: Cuba, Canada and the US. I love traveling and I love classical music! I used to be a professional violinist before becoming an accountant. I can't wait to be able to visit Europe once things get back to normal!

About Me

I'm an incoming audit associate at KPMG and graduated from UTD this past May. I graduated with a 4.0 from my undergraduate and a 3.95 from my Masters. I'm currently in the process of becoming a CPA. I do love financial accounting and have a passion for making it understandable to others.

Experience

I loved tutoring my friends at UTD along the way. I have been able to gain a wide variety of accounting knowledge through 4 years at UTD and I'm able to convey that knowledge to others through summaries, charts, tables, journal entries, etc, rather than learning it from long textbook narratives.
I have experience as a music teacher before I decided to start my accounting carrier. I was also an assistant manager for Panera Bread for several years and I used to be in charge of hiring and training

Approach

I'm eager to help fellow students to be able to understand the subject and also feel like accounting is not the end of the world! I know it can be a little overwhelming at the beginning specially if you've never taken an accounting class. I will break the content down and explain it with real life examples so that it doesn't seem so far removed from the everyday life. I love using analogies!
