I love traveling and the arts! I recently went on a mind-blowing, life-changing adventure through Southeast Asia - I have amazing stories to tell!
I am an avid hobbyist and enjoy making anything creative. My favorite outlet is knitting, because it's productive!
Learning languages is also one of my favorite pastimes. I speak Korean, Spanish, and German!

About Me

Teaching, language, and music are my biggest passions. I am a jill-of-all-trades, to be sure, but master of many! I have always been a top student - even though I'm not in school right now, I still strive to learn every day. That is why I love teaching so much - just being a part of the learning experience with someone else drives me forward, and I very much enjoy sharing the happiness that new understanding can bring a person.

I graduated with honors with a Master's degree from the University of North Texas, where I did student teaching for Music Appreciation, and it was one of the best experiences of my life! I also have extensive English teaching experience, because I lived in South Korea as a teacher for two years. In Korea, I taught high school girls and privately helped chicago">tutor a lot of them in writing and conversation, and taught many adults privately and in classes as well. I have private chicago">tutoring experience in all the following subjects, and I love them all equally: English, German, Music (appreciation, history, theory), and French horn. I also speak Korean pretty well and have successfully helped many of my friends with Korean. I'm brushing up on my Spanish right now since I just got back from Korea, and I can teach that too.

I believe strongly that learning should be FUN and, especially with languages, applicable to every day life. I care deeply about my students' success and am committed to making our lessons the best experience possible. I've been quite successful with students of all subjects in the past, because I bring a warm personality and enthusiasm to every lesson. Let's learn and have fun together!
