Fun Facts
Chess, carpentry, and archery are some of my main hobbies, and I thoroughly take pleasure in discovering the logic, creativity, and precision required for all three. There are infinite avenues for each with a lot of room to grow. See the challenge, strategize a plan, and overcome. Most importantly, be flexible enough to adapt to any unforeseen circumstance.
About Me
I studied Mechanical Engineering at the maryland">University of Maryland, and I always had an entrepreneurial spirit and a fervor to use my creativity to help others. This led me to work as a tutor for over the past 12 years full time. Earning a perfect SAT Math score helped me get a Dean Scholarship for the engineering program, so I place of lot of value in doing well on standardized tests. Math is the poetry of logical ideas, and anyone can learn it. Ultimately, everyone can find joy in its utility.
Experience
I have been tutoring math for over the past 12 years full-time, highly specializing in the SAT and ACT for which I earned perfect math scores. Through an exciting and enjoyable journey, I have seen over 700 of my students excel in various subjects and exams. I am in the final editing stages of my own SAT Math workbook, and I plan to self-publish it soon. I can consistently score in the 99th percentile for the GMAT + GRE and have received various state and national awards in mathematics.
Approach
I approach things in a simple and logical manner, as opposed to sounding like a textbook, in order to have each student establish a strong foundation from which they can build their knowledge and path to success. Having them understand the “why” and the “how”, instead of memorizing the “what”, is key to my instruction and their learning process. Assigning extra problems and keeping students up to date with their progress ensure a solid framework from which they can harness their full potential.
