Fun Facts

My favorite hobby is basketball. Be it playing or watching, I can spend hours on that sport. Being from Chicago, I LOVE the Chicago Bulls. If its basketball season, there will always be a game on the TV in the background. Besides that I love video games and watching funny sitcoms.

About Me

I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in science/illinois/chicago">Computer Science and Mathematics from the chicago">University of Illinois at Chicago, so naturally I focus on tutoring individuals in those fields. Specifically, I focus on tutoring Algebra and Intro to Comp. Sci, as I believe it is extremely important to have the foundational understanding of the subject set so you can prosper in the more advanced material.

Experience

During my time at University, I would tutor college students in math and science/illinois/chicago">computer science courses as well as privately teach high school students in those same subjects. I believe the work that I have done has built a foundational understanding of those fields and I am confident that I can help you build that foundation as well. I have been tutoring students ever since and am coming up on 3 years of experience.

Approach

I myself struggled when I first started learning these subjects. Because of this, I know what it takes to break that wall and finally have that “Aha” moment. From my experience teaching students, I believe the best way is to initially focus on teaching and explaining the concept, and once the understanding and the theory knowledge is present, then moving on to practice questions. While not a set in stone method, from what I have seen students do much better after understanding concepts.
