One passion of mine is writing creatively. I love to write because it helps me to relieve stress. Also, I love to go hiking and see the beauty around me. I also love listening to podcasts and hope to start my own podcast one day.
About Me
I graduated with a Bachelors and Masters degree from northridge">California State University Northridge in English Literature. My GPA was 4.0 for both my bachelors and masters degree. I was also the president of Critical Theory Club where I organized and taught My goal is to continue teaching and helping students succeed in their courses.
Experience
While I attended northridge">California State University Northridge, I worked as a Supplemental Instructor where I taught freshmen writing. My job entailed sitting in the class with the freshmen students and then going to teach them for another fifty minutes after class. Being a supplemental instructor has given me the experience of teaching at the college level where I would reiterate concepts such as grammar, essay structure, and thesis.
Approach
My approach as a tutor is to always create a welcoming environment for my students. I want to make sure they feel comfortable learning and able express themselves. From what I have experienced as student, my teachers always reinforced certain concepts and checked for understanding when it came to learning something new. As a tutor, I want to make sure my students are understanding the material clearly

MastersLiterature Tutoring
For my English literature degree, I have taken British Literature, African American literature, an apocalyptic literature course, and a writing about literature course. In all of these courses I have obtained A's and B's. I have tutored British literature and have helped students understand the material by reinforcing certain concepts. My masters degree in English literature has allowed me to take many British Literature courses.
Writing Advance Tutoring
The courses I have taken in writing during my masters program are English 600A and English 600B. These courses have taught me how to teach writing to college students. I have obtained A's in both of these courses. My degree in literature has not only prepared me to think critically but also has prepared me to teach.
