About Me
I graduated in 2017 from Oklahoma Baptist University with degrees in Cross-Cultural Studies and Spanish. I maintained a 4.0 and graduated Summa Cum Laude. After graduation, I spent two years working as a mentor at a therapeutic boarding school for teenagers where I was able to pursue my passion for investing in the lives of others. My ultimate goal is to find a job where I am able to continue engaging the people around me and investing in intentional relationships.
Experience
While in high school, I had the opportunity to tutor my cousin.
After college, I worked two years as a mentor at a therapeutic boarding school for teenagers ages 14-18. I assisted the students in their daily study halls, giving extra support to those who were struggling or failing their classes. I love investing in other people's lives and helping them to gain confidence and reach their fullest potential!
Approach
My approach to tutoring is to be the student's guide. Every student learns differently and it sometimes requires creativity and extra patience to give them the support that they need to grow in confidence in their schoolwork. My goal isn't to give the student's the answers so they can simply complete the work given to them. I want to be diligent in going through the material with them until they are able to learn it and reproduce it themselves.
