Fun Facts

I have experience as a professional songwriter and recording artist, where I have worked with Grammy winners Alex Houton and Brian Vibberts! I love playing the guitar so much that I even played when I had a broken wrist. Random fun fact- I can shoot a mean three pointer in basketball.

About Me

I am a rising sophomore pre-political science major at the University of California, Los Angeles. This year, I plan on declaring the political science major and completing the prerequisites for a double major in English.

Experience

As a leader in the YMCA's Youth and Government program during high school, I taught students how to write and deliver speeches on political topics they cared about. I wrote and delivered speeches in front of thousands of my peers.
As ASB President of my high school, I delivered a speech at our virtual graduation ceremony.
During my junior year of high school, I won first prize in the California statewide science-fiction writing competition the Tomorrow Prize.
This past summer, I volunteered at UCLA's Uni Camp, a nonprofit summer camp for underserved youth. I went through extensive training to learn how to work with children from various backgrounds, and I got my certification to be a lifeguard at the camp.
During the 2020 Presidential Election, I worked as a remote fellow with the Florida Democratic Party, where I canvassed for President Biden and trained adult volunteers.
These unique experiences have given me a chance to work with people of all ages in various fields, with an emphasis on writing, communications, and politics.

Approach

In high school, I always found joy in peer editing and reading my classmates' work. I love to help others succeed, and my knack for writing gives me the ability to share my knowledge. I always find it beneficial to get a second opinion on my own work, as well.
