Fun Facts
I am very passionate about health and fitness! I exercise several times a week and encourage others to prioritize their health and wellness. I am originally from Philadelphia and am one of five siblings. I moved to go to college and never moved back. Most of my family is still there so I visit often and am a proud Philly sports fan!
About Me
I am a second-year resident physician in Pediatrics at Morehouse School of Medicine. When I have completed residency I hope to care for children in a pediatric office help other students get into medical school and become doctors.
Experience
In college, I tutored my peers in various subjects and during the summer I was a tutor for middle and high school students. After completing college, I served with AmeriCorps, Georgia Tech and Atlanta Public schools and supervised a STEM tutoring program in two middle schools while also serving as an in-home tutor with a non-profit called Exceeding the Mark, inc. I have always been passionate about providing academic support to students and would like to continue serving in this way!
Approach
After many years of school, I have learned that I have many different learning styles that are useful at different times depending on the content. I also learned the importance of being organized, setting goals and creating a study plan. As a tutor, I enjoy helping students discover how they learn best and get organized, all while providing encouragement and accountability and celebrating their many victories with them!
