I am a unique individual. I love science and all that it has to offer. However, I love to write. I write spoken word and I love to perform for youth. I also love to serve the youth. I am active in my church, Atlanta Metropolitan Cathedral, where I not only serve as an usher but in the Middle School Children's Ministry as well. Children are my joy.
About Me
I am currently a senior studying Biology and Chemistry at Georgia State University. I plan to graduate Spring of 2015. After such time I plan to pursue a dual Master's in Public Health and Education. I will use my knowledge to establish and maintain women's clinics and recreational centers to educate and inspire the women, single mothers and youth of inner city communities like Atlanta and Jacksonville, Florida, my home town.
I atlanta">tutor with Georgia State University Student Support Services office in various STEM subjects. I also was selected as a atlanta">Tutor-Counselor with Upward Bound at Georgia State from 6/5/2014 to 7/21/2014. I had the opportunity to implement helpful study and learning tips that have helped my students exceed expectations.
I am a hands on learner and teacher. I like to initially observe the students and assess their varying learning capabilities. I may suggest alternative learning methods. I love to implement different teaching methods and visual models. It is always best to tailor my teaching method to the student's learning method and to always be encouraging and motivating.
