Fun Facts
One thing people quickly learn about me is I love to read! I always have my nose stuck in a book. I love how books can take you to a whole other world. I also love to dance! I was on the dance team in high school, and though I cannot dance competitively in college, I still love to find opportunities to dance. I am from New Mexico, but I consider myself a Texan at heart!
About Me
I am a junior Nursing major at Texas Christian University. I maintain a 3.96 cumulative GPA and have been on the Dean's list for 2 years in row. I am also a member of the Harris Fellows. My goal is to become a RN after graduation, working in either the pediatric or maternity fields. Eventually, I plan to receive my Masters and become a Nurse Practitioner.
My sophomore year of college I was recommended by faculty and was hired by the Harris College of Nursing to tutor Anatomy and Physiology I&II. This course is for first year Nursing students and is one of the most challenging in the program. I taught two group tutoring sessions a week. Working for Frog Tutoring will give me the opportunity to continue my passion for teaching to all different age groups!
In elementary school, I was very shy and did not feel comfortable asking my teachers for help. My goal for being a tutor is to make students feel comfortable in asking as many questions as they need to reach their full potential. I recognize that each student learns differently and teaching to that learning style is critical for academic success. Teaching study skills is key to maximizing the students knowledge and time.
