Fun Facts
Life is an activity itself. One thing I truly enjoy that brings me comfort is playing my guitar and singing! I like to dance, go on long walks and cook new things. There is always something new to learn and I am always wanting to learn more!
About Me
My joys have always encircled teaching English and Spanish. I graduated from TEFLonline with high hopes of being able to further my teaching abilities to people of all ages.
Experience
As a Bridge TEFL certificate holder, I have lived outside the US for a total of 6 years while teaching English and Spanish.I lived in Mexico for 2 years, where I taught English for 2 years at a private school. I also had the privilege to teach in Honduras for 4 years as well, both privately and in a public Schools. I love to teach! My ultimate goal would be to be able to teach Spanish and/or English remotely. That would be the best!
Approach
You must have a license to drive. You must have a license to teach.
But you do not need a license to be a parent and/or have children.
I often longed to learn more than the environment that surrounded me. To say that I struggled in school would even undermine the truth.
I even have a bad memory of a teacher who called me "stupid" in front of my classmates!
I believe that whomever I have the privilege to teach will always feel welcomed to share their thoughts and questions freely.
Spanish I Tutoring
I am a proud TEFL graduate! I would even say that teaching is a passion of mine. So much so that I have traveled to several foreign, Spanish speaking countries to extend my services. These countries include Honduras, Mexico, Beliz, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic.
I have come to understand that teaching and learning is totally based on the student and NOT on the teacher. For example: Where is the student from? What language difficulties might be especially difficult for this person? Are there specific letters and sounds that are especially difficult for my student to make?
All of this must be taken into consideration.
Spanish II Tutoring

I have taught in a private school in Mexico for a year, I taught for a home-schooled student, I taught reading, writing and speaking to a public school in Honduras. I have travevled to other countries that have further increased my knowledge of language and people and how each person learns very differently than the other. These countries include Honduras, Mexico, Beliz, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic.

Have you ever read a sentence several times then thought' "What did I just read?"I have!

So much so that I have traveled to several foreign, Spanish speaking countries to extend my services. These countries include Honduras, Mexico, Beliz, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic.
As a traveler, it is SO important to be able to READ and to understand what you are reading, sometimes in a short amount of time.
Study Skills Tutoring
Everyone is encouraged to pursue higher education but no one teaches you HOW to study in preparation for it. Most studying skills are learned at home. How are your free home teaching skills going? Most of the time families are often so busy that there is little time to help, not just with homework and finding the answer but also how to study the material. It's not always fun but I would like to think that I can do something about that.
For the past 15+years I have been taking a course on how to study. Its not as overwhelming as it may feel sometimes. With just one step at a time, I would like to teach you how to study properly and work with you towards your goals.
