Fun Facts

When I'm not working at TCU's daily student newspaper or attending classes, you can find me at the sand volleyball courts. I have played volleyball for 10 years and love being on the court.

I'm originally from West Texas, so I'll always be a little country at heart. However, someday I hope to call the jungles of Costa Rica home.

Me encanta hablar espaƱol, and one day I hope to be the best Spanish teacher ever!

About Me

I am a senior journalism major at TCU, and I love to learn. I am obsessed with learning the Spanish language and enjoy just spending time in Latin American culture. I am a firm believer in life-long learning, and I love doing what I can to help others along their journey too.

Because I have always grown up with siblings in the house (seven to be exact!), it quickly became my task to help everyone with homework. From my younger brother's English homework to my older sister's calculus, I was able to help them do their best in class. During these times I discovered my passion for helping others learn the topics and skills that I care so much about.

As a tutor, I like to focus on each student's specific needs so that no time is wasted covering unnecessary material. I try to target the areas in which the student needs more guidance so that most of our time can be spent on practicing the challenging concepts.

However, my most important goal is open communication so the student feels like he or she can tell me what works and what doesn't work, what they need and what they don't need. I believe this saves time and effort and cuts straight to improving learning and overall performance.
