I absolutely love to play softball. I grew up playing this and really enjoy having the opportunity to work with a team. I was born in Alabama, grew up in Chicago most of my life, and now live in Florida, so I am now enjoying the sunshine.

About Me

I am a graduate of Western Governors University. I was initiated into the International Honor Society in Education - Kappa Delta Pi's Alpha Epsilon Sigma Chapter. I also received my Bachelor of Arts - Educational Studies in Elementary Education. I also have a 120-Hour TESOL Certificate and have worked with students in China remotely to teach them the English language. I have also homeschooled 3 of my children, who are now 20, 12, and 6 years old.

Experience

I have been working with students since I was in High School. As a student of the Early Childhood Education program, I worked in a daycare center to start. I then moved up to lead teacher. This prompted me to earn my degree. While earning my degree, I worked with students as a paraprofessional and instructional assistant. I currently home school, my 1st grader and tutor, many students.

Approach

I struggled as a child in school. It was hard for me to pay attention and I did not like being called on. It was only when I had a teacher who made me feel like I was of value, that my demeanor changed. I want to be THAT teacher/tutor/mentor for all of my students.
