Fun Facts

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and I have a twin brother named Matthew as well as a Scottish Terrier named Brodie. In Houston, I attended the High School for The Performing & Visual Arts (HSPVA) with a focus in graphic art. My favorite color is gold and I began writing a novel in the 7th grade. In my spare time I enjoy blogging, dancing, being creative and cooking. I'm an optimist who easily relates to individuals of many different backgrounds and walks of life.

About Me

As a Strategic Communications major I plan to explore the field of Advertising and Public Relations once I graduate. I would like to focus on spreading ethical media practices as well as conducting consumer research. My ultimate goal is to write a motivational memoir and travel across the country as a motivational speaker and life coach.

Throughout my life I have been identified as the planner and motivator within my various groups of friends. I enjoy cheering on the ones I love in their many academic, professional and social endeavors. I was a connections mentor at TCU which is a program that aids Freshmen students with the transition into college life. These weekly small group meetings allowed me to provide insight and share my experiences with my peers as well as having many meaningful discussions relating to life as a TCU student.

I enjoy motivating and inspiring others by helping them identify their strengths and overcoming their weaknesses. I believe that everyone has their own individual path in life and may encounter different successes and challenges along the way. As a tutor and mentor I aim to build a relationship based on trust and understanding. I embrace individuality and believe that investing in getting to know yourself is one of the most important exercises for self-fulfillment. Academics can be trying and frustrating at times but through patience and motivation confidence can be built in our most challenging subjects. As a planner and organizer, I love sharing my study and organizational tips as well as identifying learning techniques that work for each student.
