Fun Facts
I love to run, and completed my first marathon in Miami last February in just under four hours. In college, I was a member of the sorority Tri Delta, which focused on fundraising for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. After living in Miami for the past four years, I am very very nervous for Chicago's winter.

In high school, I was a volunteer peer chicago">tutor and tutored students in spanish, Latin, math, and English. As a college student, I tutored my boss's kids and three of their friends for the SATs while I was home for the summers. Although I never tutored for the GRE, I studied very intensely for this test and performed well, so I believe I am more than prepared to chicago">tutor for the GREs as well. While at college, I helped friends with essays and tutored a handful of friends in writing and english.
As a chicago">tutor, I like to try and teach some of the same techniques that I use to study and have found to help me succeed. These techniques include making flashcards, using the internet as a tool for research and learning, and annotation of readings. For example, if I were helping a friend with an essay that was based off of a short reading, I would read through it with them, highlighting and writing notes in the margins, and then assist in the creation of an outline, building paragraphs based on key ideas and quotes. My goal is to help students learn the techniques that will allow them to be successful on their own.
