I love baking! I volunteer at the local hospital close to my school in the Emergency dept. One of my favorite things to do with free time is watch movies of all genres. I love comedy and horror films! I also like to play basketball and volleyball in the local parks.

About Me

I attend Georgia State University where I am a senior Biology major with Chemistry minor. I have a 3.75 GPA and am a member of the Honors College. I have worked in a Microbiology research lab. I recently applied to medical school. On campus I've served as the Biological Honors Society officer and Honors College ambassador. I am a Zell Miller recipient as well as Thomas L. Netzel scholar at GSU. I am also the 2014 recipient of the Biology Dept. Undergraduate Leadership award.

I've tutored since high school! In 2012, I participated in the FOCUS student teaching program in which I taught science, math, and reading skills to 5th grade students for a semester. I atlanta">tutor 1st-5th grade through the Cool Girls Mentor program. I also am a atlanta">tutor in Biology 1 & 2 and Molecular cell biology for the Biology Dept at Georgia State Uni.

The best way to learn is to view the concepts from varying points of view and teaching the subject to someone else. I believe there are many different resources that can be used to learn one concept. I like to use videos, charts, diagrams, and repetition to learn. Repetition does not mean memorization, but with all subjects especially math and reading, practice makes perfect. I enjoy making use of art, flash cards, and games to make learning fun and memorable.
