About Me

I have been teaching for over 20 years and believe that this is the best way to safeguard our future as a culture and a community. I am originally from the East coast, born in Fairfax, Virginia after having lived the first nine years of my life in Livorno in the region of Tuscany, ITALY. I am fluent in Italian and English both in the oral and written form and was schooled in both languages. I came out to the West coast and attended UCLA majoring in Psychology.

Experience

I have worked overseas with Sylvan Prometric and the United States Information Service in education and the USCIS introducing the computerized standardized testing. I homeschooled both my sons in all core subjects to ensure that they would be given a wholesome and well-rounded globally aware education, one that stressed individuality, social responsibility, creativity, discipline, foreign language and the arts. I am ESL/ESOL teacher certified and have experience as a Business English Instructor

Approach

Every individual is unique and learns differently therefore as a teacher it is my responsibility to recognize the strengths as well as weaknesses of my students and focus on building those very strengths to then overcome some vulnerabilities.
