I enjoy listening to music. As a young child I used to go fishing all the time with my father, moving to college I have missed those sweet memories. I am very close to my family. I can play the piano. I love meeting new people and branching out. I always have a smile on my face even when things are not so perfect. I am outgoing and easy to get along with.

About Me

My name is Brittany Heath and I am from Hickory, North Carolina. I am a sophomore at charlotte">UNC Charlotte where I am studying to get a degree in Elementary Education. I am currently a tour guide at UNCC and also work at the Office of Registrar. As a small child I always dreamed of being a teacher and helping students in all aspects of academics.

My experiences with charlotte">tutoring have made me want even more to become a teacher. In college I have taken several math classes. I seen many students struggle with the courses so I would simply help them in the library or individually. It just brings a smile to my face when I see a student struggling then after I charlotte">tutor them they understand it and are comfortable with anything that comes next. I had a student that at the beginning of Math 1102 had a D after I worked with him he came out with a high B. I just really enjoy helping students conquer subjects that they are struggling in.

My charlotte">tutoring approach is that I will first model a problem and explain every step in depth. The next step then would be let the student try a problem solely on their own. I believe you must break down the problem in ways that students will understand it. Homework is also a very important aspect of charlotte">tutoring. Homework is the key to everyone success in any class. If you can do the homework you are most likely to succeed on the test. I let students do the homework on their own if during the homework they have trouble I will assist. Then I will go over study methods of remembering how to go about solving a problem and also the ways of taking great notes so when you go to attempt your homework you can follow step by step. charlotte">Tutoring is what helps student better their grades and I would love to be that step to guide and help students succeed.
