About Me
I have been interested in English and other languages for as long as I can remember. I am fascinated by grammar and linguistic similarities and differences.
Experience
I was a Teaching Assistant as both an undergraduate and a graduate student. I am currently teaching Asian students who want to go to college in the West to improve their spoken and written English writing skills over Zoom.
Approach
I think it is important to tailor the material, as much as possible, to something the student finds interesting, to keep them engaged. I like to use pop culture as a hook, but the hook can be almost anything that captivates the student

I have written a master’s thesis that was accepted at The University of Chicago. I have a lot of experience writing papers on the Undergraduate and Graduate levels. I am very familiar with the rules of academic writing and the rules of English grammar.
Literature Tutoring
I have a degree in English and American Literature from Brandeis University. I am a voracious reader. I have taken coursework in Shakespeare, Chaucer and Joyce, among many others.
Graduate Level Writing Tutoring
I have written a Master’s thesis that was accepted by The University of Chicago. I have written countless undergraduate and graduate papers. I have been a teaching assistant, advising students on their papers, at both the Undergraduate and Graduate levels.
