On thing that would surprise people is that I ride a motorcycle. I have six kids and together with my husband we have ten. Yes! 10! I love to go camping and love garage sales.

About Me

I have been a teacher for 15 years. I am currently a fifth grade math and science teacher in Warren Township. I have taught reading and writing too. I love teaching the foundational skills of math because once you know them, everything else falls into place.

Experience

I have been an after school tutor for many years while I lived in Gary, Indiana. I just recently moved to Indianapolis and am looking forward to helping kiddos in this area. My primary focus during tutoring was mathematics and reading comprehension.

Approach

I believe practice makes perfect. My approach teaching is to focus on the skill that needs to be learned. Practice! Practice! Practice! We will learn the skill, practice together, and then slowly, I release the responsibility to the student where they practice independently. There is no giving up until the skill is mastered. WE GOT THIS KIDDOS!!!
