Fun Facts

Something people will quickly learn about me is that I LOVE to travel. A lot of people have a preference like a beach person versus a mountain person, but I love it all. I love skiing in Colorado, or sitting on a beach in the Caribbean, and everything in between. National monuments, hiking trails, random stops along a road trip. All of it is so exciting to me!

About Me

I am a wife and a mom to two kiddos! My family is my whole world. I am the youngest of four and my siblings and I are all very close. I was an education major at the University of Missouri and I taught preschool for about 2 years before I had my son. After he was born I taught ESL online to students based in China, and now I am tutoring online to students here in the States. I am masters certified to teach ESL/TESOL online, I have a minor in Spanish, and a multi-cultural certificate. I'm passionate about helping others learn, and I believe that everybody is able to succeed in the classroom with the right help and tools!

Experience

When I was still in high school I started tutoring at a homeless shelter on the West Side of Chicago. I fell in love with it, and that is what inspired me to be an education major at The University of Missouri. I continued tutoring at an after-school program while I was in college, and then I taught at a preschool my senior year. After I had my son I started teaching ESL online. I have experience working with students from age 3 to 20. I'm passionate about education, and I'm excited to help!

Approach

I am very passionate about education as a whole. I believe that anybody can succeed when given the right tools and motivation. I think the best way to learn is by doing, so I tend to focus on practice and learning by solving. I'm enthusiastic and fun-loving, I'm very patient, and I know that persistence is key. Continuing to practice until we get it perfect is the key to success.
