Fun Facts

I'm very fun and pride myself in students' accomplishments. I teach at a company called The Menta Group, which helps students at-risk get back on track educationally and behaviorally. I'm here to help each and every kid! In my free time, I like to work on creative projects, such as music and cartoons!

About Me

I am currently teaching transitional skills, multimedia and PE at The Menta Group. In the past I have worked at Guiding Light Academy, where I help instruct the children in Reading, Writing, English and Math. Often times, I am challenged to work 1-1 with low-academic children who are disruptive in the classroom -- and I help them understand the material and become better. I am excited for the challenge and grateful for the opportunity.

Experience

Currently enrolled into a Master's program at the Relay Graduate School of Excellence. I have a writing degree, 5+ years of teaching in classrooms, K-6 Reading/Writing teacher certifications and 1 year of tutoring high school writers. As well, I have a background in Video Production and Animation.

Approach

As a tutor/teacher, my goal is to unlock a child's ability to achieve -- and let them believe in their abilities! Every child should be happily confident in their abilities. All it takes is the right approach and a teacher who is knowledgeable and patient enough to try a variety of customized approaches. I want to learn how my greatest mentors taught me -- with respect, passion and dignity. My goal is to help your child retain their knowledge by finding meaning in their learning!
