My interests/hobbies include dance and running. I recently started going to an open hip- hop dance class and enjoy it very much. I also am training to run my 5k in October. I'm am likely to sign up for the color/glow run.

About Me

I graduated from North Carolina State University with a major in Biology. I am currently in my third year at Drexel University College of Medicine, and will be receiving my Master in Science degree May 2015. I graduated from NC State with a GPA of 3.1, and currently have a 3.1 in graduate school. My plans after college is to attend medical school to pursue a career in primary medicine. I am currently working on a research project that looks at the correlation of aphasia and morbidity/mortality.

I have many hours of community service experiences, which includes philadelphia">tutoring pre-k- 5th grade children at a homeless shelter; teaching nutritional lessons to pre-k children; and preparing science lessons and experiments for elementary children. Due to my Nigerian background and family principles, I high value education and therefore like to help others in educational ways. It it really rewarding when I can help someone else get a grasp in a subject they were having difficulty in.

My philadelphia">tutoring approach is to first ask the student what subject they need help in. Depending on the subject, we will grow through the chapter together, or do problems that they were stuck on.
Then I will give them more problems/questions to do. After the session, I will assign homework. I think repetition is important, so at the next session we would quickly review the material from the previous week, and depending on how much they understand the material, I can assign more homework.
