Fun Facts

Hi!

My hobbies include Writing, Roller Skating, Reading, Theatre, and I LOVE people! I am extremely extroverted and will talk to and begin or join in a conversation with anyone. I live in Texas but I actually prefer Colorado and being in the mountains. Everyone I love lives in Texas, though, so this is where I will stay for now. One day I do plan to move to Colorado and live in Breckenridge.

About Me

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre and am a Playwright, and I hold a Master's Degree in English with a focus on Rhetoric and Technical Writing. I would love to eventually return to school to work towards and get my PhD in English with a focus in Rhetoric and Composition and would love to be an English Professor at all college levels. I love to learn. I was on the Dean's List in Undergrad and I was a member of the National Honors Society in Graduate School,

Experience

I have taught Middle and High School Theatre and English. I Directed two One Act Plays at the same time during my first year teaching. I was also the Cheer Coach and planned every Pep Rally and attended every football game on the weekends as the Cheer Coach. I was on the Homecoming Committee, as well. I love Education and learning and I love building relationships with the students.

Approach

I grew up in Private School and completed High School in Public School, as I wanted to experience Public School before I graduated. I have taught in Public School, as well. I was not always a straight A student. I struggled in Math, especially, and I always found it difficult to catch up. I had beautiful teachers, mentors, and professors who saw my potential and who pushed me, and this is what I love to do for my students. Often, we just need someone to believe in us.
