About Me
My name is Jide Adebayo and I am a recent graduate from maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">columbia-university">maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">Columbia University. While attending maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">Columbia, I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Philosophy and a Master's degree in Public Policy and Administration through an accelerated 5-year program. My GPA for my undergraduate degree was 3.3 and for my masters 3.7.
I have been miami">tutoring maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">columbia-university">maryland/columbia">columbia">maryland/columbia">Columbia University Athletes for 2 years in Economics, Calculus, and Philosophy. I have also mentioned below references for my time as a miami">tutor.
When I miami">tutor, I typically like to get to know the person first as sort of an ice breaker. I like to see if we have anything in common or any similar interests in order to dissolve the illusion that I am only an "expert" in the field that I am miami">tutoring. This way, the one who I am miami">tutoring becomes comfortable and realizes that I am a regular person too. After the initial icebreaker, I like to have the person identify the specific areas that he or she struggles with by working through specific example problems and talking through them. I then provide to approaches to learning the material, the text book approach and then my own specific approach in how I understood the material when I was learning it. Typically my students ended up falling somewhere in between the two approaches.
