Fun Facts
My passions are music, food, sports, and of course - France! In addition to teaching English and living in France, I have also taught ballet, yoga and hip hop dance for many years. YouTube videos still teach me new choreography and I love discovering new music from around the world on apps like TuneIn and Amazon Music.
About Me
Mom of two teenagers, divorced and working full time at a financial planning firm, I also bartend and practice French. My fiance is French, so I am saving money to move to France after we get married. This year, I was lucky enough to travel to Marseille France to visit my fiance twice - once in July and once in November. It was a much-needed immersion which greatly improved my conversational French.
Experience
My degree is in French from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and I lived in France for a school year in 1998-1999. There, I taught English to French kids in elementary school. I've also have edited three published books in the financial planning category.
Approach
Motivation is difficult when students don't have a passion or interest in a certain subject. Finding motivation is key, because then students get creative in finding ways to succeed. I see my job as a facilitator, helping point students in the right direction by giving examples and then showing them the resources and processes for finding the answers themselves.

Lastly, I enjoy reading and helping to make written content more enjoyable.
