About Me

I am an older person with many years of teaching experience, and so I have a great deal of patience. Although my academic experience is in English, literature, the arts and law, I am highly proficient at reading and writing. In fact, that's how I educated myself in many areas!

Experience

I have been teaching piano to children and adults for over 30 years. I deal with people from all over the world constantly. Therefore, I can handle any issues students find difficult and help them overcome it.

Approach

Every student learns differently and at a different pace. Some subjects he or she picks up quickly, and some need more time. The only way I can tell if a student is learning is if they are asking me questions. Therefore, I like to keep asking my students whether they have any questions. If not, I will ask them about what we just talked about. A student needs to master the subject at hand before we can move on. This often requires patience from both the teacher and the student, but it works.
