About Me
I am well-educated with a Bachelor degree from Purdue University, an M.B.A degree from Keller Graduate School, and Master's degree in education/tennessee/memphis">special education from phoenix">University of Phoenix. Over the past eight years, I have really enjoyed the transition to teaching and working with a diverse population of students. While each day is filled with challenges, teaching is truly the most rewarding experience of my life. I am able to actively participate in the academic and personal growth of such great young minds.
I have been a education/tennessee/memphis">special education teacher for the past eight years in Arizona and just moved to the Memphis area. As a education/tennessee/memphis">special education teacher, I worked with a variety of students including students with and without disabilities. I have vast knowledge in working with struggling students and a tool belt filled with different learning strategies. I have been a private memphis">tutor for the past several years working with multiple students in both math and reading. The students varied in age from six to ten years old. One of the students was the child of a teacher on my campus. I think this speaks volumes for the level of respect I received from my peers in both my ability as a teacher. I miss working with students and am anxious to work with your child in the capacity of a memphis">tutor.
I believe each child is an individual and brings a unique set of experiences and skills to the table. It is essential to understand the needs of your child, how they learn, and adapt my teaching style to meet their needs. I will involve your child in their own learning by setting goals together, monitoring progress, and celebrating successes. As the parent, I will include you in the process of your child's learning by making suggestions and keeping you informed. I want to support what your child has learned at school and am willing to involve their teacher if you desire. The most important thing is that your child grows and learns!
