Fun Facts
My office used to be at 40,000 feet. I was a crew chief/flight engineer in the Navy for 15 years and sat in the cockpit of a C-40A with the pilots monitoring systems and doing flight checks. I also have 21 nieces and nephews which makes for a very busy/cramped house for the holidays.
About Me
I graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelors in Combined Sciences. My ultimate goal is to be a PA specializing in Neonatology. I would like to travel with Doctors Without Borders or Samaritans Purse into underdeveloped countries that have high child mortality rates. I've seen some of the suffering in these countries and just want to be a source of good.
Experience
I am currently an Instructional Associate at Tarrant County College for the Science Learning Center. I specialize in Anatomy and Physiology and the life sciences. I have been tutoring College Algebra and developmental math at TCC since the Spring 2014 semester and have been a Supplemental Instructor for those same subjects almost as long. I enjoy
Approach
I teach to each students learning style and try to adjust the material so they can understand it in their own learning language. I try my best to correlate what we are learning with something they already know or are familiar with. I go over testing techniques and study habits/skills as well. I struggled with some of these subjects myself and truly enjoy helping others navigate and learn them.
