About Me
I am currently a junior Theatre Arts major, with a concentration in Musical Theatre. I am currently the Vice President of D.I.V.A., Incorporated, a society for women in the arts, as well as a Preparation Correspondent for the Fine Arts Dept. under the College of Arts & Sciences. After college, I plan to work the DC theatre market as well as teach. Career wise, I hope to one day own my own Performing Arts after school program.
I have been washington-dc">tutoring since middle school, mostly to students the same grade level as me, however I do have extensive experience in working with kids. In middle school I specifically tutored 6th, 7th, and 8th grade reading-comprehension/virginia/washington-dc">reading comprehension. In high school I was a History and English washington-dc">tutor for all 4 years. In college I have done some minor homework help to my peers as well as offering organizational skills and proper study habits.
My washington-dc">tutoring approach is very similar to how I break down, learn, and study my own school work. I first identify what ever the problem area(s) may be; I then begin to not only review the area or information that the student is struggling with but also find the best way for the student to properly digest this info ration. I also a firm believer in drills as well as constant reviewing of new and old material.
