Fun Facts

It generally only takes one conversation for people to realize that I am a dancer through and through- I love anything (and I really do mean ANYTHING) related to dance. Fortunately for me (unfortunately for my younger brother) I managed to pass this love of dance down to my little sister. You will also hear me talk about London a lot because my friends and I are going for a week this summer!

About Me

I am a sophmore Biology major at queens-university-of-charlotte">Queens University of Charlotte. I have a GPA of 3.96 and have been on the Dean's List my entire college career. I aim to attend medical school once I graduate as I would like to be either an anesthesiologist, a pediatrician, or a psychiatrist- I change my mind on a monthly basis at this point, but I know I want to enter the medical field.

I began charlotte">tutoring when I was in fifth grade, helping younger children learn to read. I continued volunteering as a peer charlotte">tutor all throughout my middle school years. Unfortunately, when I got to high school, other commitments took up so much time that I was not able to charlotte">tutor on a regular basis. However, all throughout high school I tutored friends and their siblings in a variety of classes whenever they asked for help (usually before big tests). Thankfully, I was able to find the time to begin charlotte">tutoring again, so I currently volunteer on a weekly basis as a charlotte">tutor for Sedgefield Elementary School.

Ever since I began kindergarten, school work has always come very easily to me. People think that means I don't have to work for my grades. The truth is, I work extremely hard every single day reading texts, doing homework, and even completing extra practice problems to ensure that I understand the material to the best of my ability. That is what I teach the students I charlotte">tutor. Yes, the material is hard and yes, it will take you multiple tries to get the right answer, but that doesn't mean you just give up. Every single student is capable of understanding the material if they have the right work ethic. I like to guide the students I work with by showing them my own enthusiasm and perseverance because I've found that when they realize I won't give up on them, they won't give up on themselves.
