In my spare time I love to craft any and everything! Put a task in front of me and I'm ready to create, cut, glue, and put things together! I am also a lover of everything Dallas! From the Dallas Cowboys to the State Fair, I can not give enough of this wonderful city!

About Me

I was born and raised in the North Dallas Area. I attended school in Richardson ISD and spent Middle and High School attending TCA-Addison. After graduating I went to The University of Texas at Austin (Hook 'Em Horns!), where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Applied Learning and Development, Early Childhood -6th grade.

Experience

I am currently in my 9th year of teaching as a first grade teacher, in Plano ISD. I've taught first grade for 7 years of my career. Teaching firsties how to read and foundational math skills, is my sweet spot. I've also had the joy of teaching and preparing students for STAAR in both 3rd and 4th grade! The beautiful thing about elementary education is that I get to set the foundation for a student's learning, and understand where they need to go!

Approach

As a teacher I truly understand elementary curriculum, as well as what is expected in the classroom. I am able to identify strengths and growth points in a student's academics and create a plan to help that student grow as if they were a student in my classroom. I like to use exciting interactive stories, games, and activities to help students learn, as well as quick checks to see if the student is grasping the content.
