I’m the second out of five siblings and I’m originally from Texas. I was always in charge of tutoring my younger siblings.
About Me
I’m starting my junior year at The central-missouri">University of Central Missouri working towards my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. I completed my Associate in Arts May of 2021 and decided teaching is the career I want to go into! I’ve also received my substitute teaching certification from the state of Missouri.
Experience
I’m at the beginning of a total career change so I don’t have any professional experience yet. I spent a lot of time tutoring my siblings.
Approach
I believe that learning is fun when you fully understand a subject. I struggled with Algebra all through high school which was very stressful. I’d love to help children understand their lessons so that they have confidence in their abilities and don’t have to feel that stress.

Elementary Education
English Tutoring
I have always excelled at English, its been one of my better subjects from Elementary through College. I took Composition and Reading 1 and 2 in college and passed both with a High B. Im working towards a Bachelors in Elementary education at UCM and plan on going into middle school english!
Middle School Math Tutoring
I took an Algebra Principles class while completing my degree and passed with an A. I also completed Statistics with a B. I can explain the steps required to solve problems in a way that is easily understandable and remembered.
Writing Tutoring
I was required to write many papers in my English classes through my first two years of college. I also constantly proofread writing from my sister who is an aspiring writer.
Reading Tutoring
I am an avid reader of both traditional literature as well as daily news articles. I am very good eat breaking down the different elements of reading and being able to convey them in a way that is very easy to follow.
Science Tutoring
I completed Biology and Astronomy classes in college. Science has always been a fun and interesting subject to me!
Social Studies Tutoring
I've taken American History, Foundations of Western Civilization, and a Missouri Constitution class while earning my Associates. Social Studies was a strong subject of mine from Elementary school on.
